Applications will start in early October to mid-November each year. For the 2025/2026 academic year, the package opened on September 9, 2025, and closed on November 21, 2025, at 3:00 pm.

Applications for the 2025 Arkwright internships will be accepted online in January and February. Candidates who wish to make it to the interview stage will receive detailed information to help them prepare. The interview panel consists of two members composed of academics and industry experts

The program has a nominal acceptance rate of 30%. However, it is important to remember that teacher candidates are often academically strong. The selection process is rigorous, based on internet usage, appearance, and interviews. Approximately 2,500 undergraduate students apply for the 600 scholarships on offer every year. By 2025, the program received 1,532 applications, representing a 15% increase over the previous 12 months.
