The Russian Government Open Doors Scholarship is open to international applicants pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs. Registration for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees will end on November 20, 2025, at the same time that registration for postdoc tracks closes on December 10, 2025. For postdoc tracks begin on September 16, 2025.

Russian Open Doors Scholarships offer international students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in Russia without tuition fees. Registration is done through an open online site. The candidate can apply through the official portal.
It covers full tuition and provides a monthly stipend, although housing costs are not covered. Applicants are selected based on their portfolio and overall performance in the online Olympiad. During the application process, applicants can choose between 1 and 6 preferred universities.
Application Process
- Register on a legitimate open-source website.
- Select a subject area and fill out the software form.
- Upload the required documents, including a cover letter and academic record.
- Submit a portfolio showing achievements and coursework.
- Passed first grade based on portfolio assessment.
- Take the online assessment in the second stage (PhD candidates also participate in an interview).

Stipend and Benifits
Tuition fees: It provides 100% funding for tuition fees, allowing recipients to study at any Russian university without paying tuition fees.

Accommodation and other expenses: While the scholarship covers tuition and provides a stipend, recipients are responsible for other expenses such as transportation, food, lodging, communication services, and health insurance.

Stages of Open Door Scholarships
- Registration Stage: The very first stage for the open-door scholarship is the registration stage. Student must apply to their official website or through an online portal
